Cosmo Lady Anticipates Over 200% Profit Growth in H1 2024 After Successful Olympic Campaign

On August 13, 2024, Cosmo Lady (2298.HK) announced its 2024 interim results forecast: Based on preliminary assessments, the company expects a profit attributable to shareholders of at least RMB 26,129,000 for the period ending June 30, 2024, representing a year-on-year increase of over 200%.

Cosmo Lady attributed this profit growth to several key factors:

Expansion of E-commerce: The brand continues to expand its e-commerce operations, increasing its market share and enhancing brand value, leading to improved operational performance.

Cost Control and Efficiency: Enhanced cost control measures and improved efficiency have further reduced operational costs.

Real Estate Gains: Some units of Cosmo Lady’s industrial project in Fenggang Town, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province, were delivered and accounted for during this period.

Riding the wave of the 2024 Paris Olympics, Cosmo Lady successfully launched a “Pink Lady” trend. In March 2024, the brand officially announced its partnership with the Chinese National Synchronized Swimming Team during the launch of its “Soft Size Invisible Bra.” After rigorous testing with 5,000 members, 18 design updates, and over 6,500 hours of development involving more than 20 materials and 50 processes, the bra achieved a three-dimensional, form-fitting, smooth-surface invisible design that adapts to body curves, providing comfort and enhanced shape for different bust sizes.

The Chinese Synchronized Swimming Team won two gold medals, including the first gold of the games, achieving a Grand Slam. Cosmo Lady’s Chairman and CEO, Zheng Yaonan, attended the final to share the victorious moment with the audience.

As the official partner of the Chinese Synchronized Swimming Team, Cosmo Lady’s first foray into Olympic marketing yielded impressive results. During the Olympics, a Cosmo Lady advertising bus, emblazoned with the slogan "Supporting You All the Way to Paris," traveled between Paris landmarks, showcasing the brand to a global audience.

Through advertising at key high-speed rail stations in 11 cities nationwide and the active promotion of “Olympic+” themed store designs, the brand launched the “Champion's Choice” series and introduced a billion-yuan promotional plan.
